Title scenes are used for many different purposes, One of them being in which it is used to promote the cast and crew involved in the production, They are promoted through the use of credits which usually state the name of people directly involved with the movie, these credits furthermore give appreciation to the different roles played by people contributing to the movie.
Another reason in which title scenes are used is because it sets the tone/theme of the movie which then helps the audience tell what type of genre the movie is going to be, For example dark colors and tense music would give the audience the sense that the movie will be some sort of thriller or horror movie.
